She was predeceased by: her parents, Ella Emily Burzlaff (Jessen) and William Charles Burzlaff; her husband John Brakel; and her son Brett Brakel. She is survived by: her son Russell Brakel (Melissa); her grandchildren, Kaylynn, Tyler Brakel and Breanna Martinez (Randy); her great grandchildren, Owen and Nico; her daughter-in-law Rachel Brakel; her grandchildren, David, Aaron, Allie Brakel, Andre De Souza (Liza) and Stefanie De Souva; her siblings, Russell Burzlaff and Janet Bearden; her niece Lori Worland (Steve); and her great-nephew Gavin Worland. She is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday, December 23rd 2025 at 9:00 AM. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Foothills Gardens of Memory (14241 N 107th St, Longmont, CO 80504). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 23rd 2025 at the Mount Olive Church (3411 S Taft Ave, Loveland, CO 80537).
