Louis Harold Lee Jr. Obituary
Louis Harold Lee Jr., age 88, of Longmont, Colorado passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2024. Louis was born May 13, 1936 to Louis Harold Lee Sr. and Lucy Delphina (Vick) Lee, in Rinn, Colorado.
Louis spent much of his younger years farming around Mead, Colorado. After graduating from Mead High School he began a career in construction soon after moving out of the house.
He married Darlene Ann Brown in 1956 and together they built a life well lived.
Louis was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. He found great enjoyment hunting, fishing, camping, and most especially spending time with family and friends.
Surviving are his wife Darlene; sons Lonnie James Lee (Penny Clapper), Louis Scott Lee (Terry), Christopher Allen Lee (Donna), Michael Darrin Lee; brother Roger Lee (Sharie); sisters Margaret Ann Van Thuyne, Mary Lou Tallman (Ken), Betty Morgan, Cathy Weaver (Jack). Also surviving are his grandchildren Amy Bauer, Leanne Lukenbill, Karin Wojahn, Nathan Lee, Jamison Lee, Danielle Goldberg, Brittany Lee, Haley Lee, Noah Lee and Mia Lee; great-grandchildren Emma Lukenbill, Grace Lukenbill, Grant Wojahn, Liliana Wojahn, Tom Lee, Sam Lee, Alexandra Lee, Eliana Lee, Lucas Lee, Sloane Goldberg and Margot Goldberg.
He is preceded in death by his parents Louis Harold Lee Sr. and Lucy Delphina nee Vick Lee; sister Dorothy Clark; brother Larry Lee; brothers-in-law Julius Van Thuyne, Norman Clark and Jim Morgan; sister-in-law Diane Lee.
A visitation for Louis will be held Monday, October 28, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Howe Mortuary Chapel, 439 Coffman Street, Longmont, Colorado 80501. Rosary prayers will occur at 5:00 PM. A mass of Christian burial will occur Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at 10:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 323 Collyer Street, Longmont, Colorado 80501. A reception will follow at 11:00 AM in Benedict Hall at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. A graveside committal will take place Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery, 620 11th Avenue, Longmont, Colorado 80501.
