He was predeceased by: his parents, George Wittler and Lula Mae Wittler; his siblings, Harold Wittler and Doris Wittler; his siblings-in-law, Carl Mann and Yvonne Wittler; his son-in-law Douglas Rodman; his grandchildren, Joseph Gillette and Janae Goff; and his great great grandchild Leon Church.
