He is survived by: his wife Sib Ellis of Boulder; his children, Cary Spier of Santa Fe and Frank Black of Sacramento, Calif.; his stepsons, Tom Ellis, Peter Ellis and John Ellis; his stepgranddaughter Sue Kemper; and his former wife Marion Mills (Nonnie). He is also survived by six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
