He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Dirks and Julia Dirks; his wife Marsha Jane Dirks; his son Larry Ray Dirks; and his brother Albert Dirks.
He is survived by: his sister Dolores Myers; and his sister-in-law Sally Dirks. He is also survived by 9 nieces and nephews.
