The memory of Susan Jane Hicks (Longmont, Colorado), who passed away on July 21, 2025 at the age of 77, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Robert Marion Maurer and Jane Brattin Zeller Maurer; her husband Don Clayton Hicks; and her nephew David Maurer. She is survived by: her children, Karen Fettes (Steven) of Loveland, CO and Robert Hicks (Dena) of Lisle, IL; her grandchildren, Logan, Lauren, Luke Fettes, Clayton and Carly Hicks; her brother John Maurer (Martha) of Brazil, IN; and her niece Emily Staley (Justin). She is also survived by extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gail Borden Public Library Foundation in Elgin, Illinois - an organization close to Susan's heart.
