She was predeceased by: her parents, R. Keith Stephens and Dorothy Stephens; and her siblings-in-law, Michelle Stephens and Michael Albrecht. She is survived by: her husband John Decker; her children, Robert Decker (Amber), Sally Swift (Ben) and Sarah Still (Adam); and her siblings, Dan Stephens (Loretta), Mark Stephens (Wendy), Sandra Calvin (Dave), Sam Stephens and Sue Diaz-Dulanto (Jorge). She is also survived by her 11 grandsons and 1 granddaughter, numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memorial donations to a charitable organization of your choice in Valerie's name.
