He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Barrett and Jemima Barrett (Reid); and his siblings, Tommy, John Barrett, Betty Morrison, Cathy Tollin and Margaret Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Maureen Barrett; his children, Dwayne Barrett, Teresa MacPhail and Lisa McMahan (Bryan McMahan); his brother Pat Barrett (Margaret); his grandchildren, Kacy Frantz, Amy Hardy, Brian McMahan, Sean Barrett, Will Barrett, Marcel MacPhail and Abigail MacPhail; his great grandchildren, Jonathan and Caroline Hardy; Keith MacPhail.
