He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Joerns and Marie Joerns; and his former wife Alice Joerns. He is survived by: his wife June Follett Joerns; his children, Beryl Norman (Bill), Bill Joerns (Miki) and Erik Joerns (Kelley); his grandchildren, Kelsy Kyler (Nate), Lynae Norman (Jason), Jack Joerns and Hana Joerns; his great grandchildren, Willie Kyler and Nora Kyler; and his sister Delphine Overby. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Symonds-Madison Funeral Home (305 Park St, Elgin, IL 60120). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
