He was predeceased by: his parents, John Starkjohann and Florence Starkjohann (Patnoe); his wife June Parkinson; his son Steven; his brother Clifford Starkjohann; his sister-in-law Dolores Starkjohann Smith; his brother Robert Starkjohann; his sister-in-law Aida Starkjohann; and his sister Betty Starkjohann.

He is survived by: his children, Ronda Bruns (Dennis), Scott Starkjohann (Marty) and Chris Starkjohann (Tracy); his sisters, Joyce Starkjohann and June Berndt (Charles); his grandchildren, Derek Bruns (Jamie), Krista Beeman (Doug), Brandon Starkjohann, Lindsay Dittmar (Travis) and Alissa Starkjohann; and his great grandchildren, Hannah Bruns, Karis Beeman and Danae Beeman.
