He was predeceased by: his parents, James Albert Shields and Minnie Elizabeth Shields (Anderson). He is survived by: his wife Joanne; his daughters, Elizabeth Pesek-Shields (Bill) and Jamie Shields-Wolfe (Craig); his granddaughter Angela Summers (Joshua); his brother Don; and his brother-in-law Tim. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren.
