He was predeceased by: his parents, John Robert Vaughn Sr. and Eva Viola Vaughn (Nelson); his mother-in-law Dee Moore Davis; his stepfather-in-law Ed Moore; his father-in-law Eugene Melton; his sister-in-law Karen Eldridge; and his brother Stanley Vaughn.
He is survived by: his sister Shirley Vaughn; his wife Kathy; his stepdaughter Stacy Nakata (Kurt); his grandchildren, Travis Schneider (Heather Fahey), Tyler Nakata, Dakota Nakata, Kaleb Nakata, Lilliana Hunsinger, Coraline Schneider and Pax Schneider; and his sisters-in-law, Kelly Sexson, Aimee Lottridge (Roger), Shelly DiFrancesco (Steve) and Amy Olsen (Jeff).
In lieu of flowers, memorials to First Christian Church would be appreciated.
