He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerome David Sargent and Carol Francis Sargent (Johnson); his siblings, Roger, David and Diane; his son Micheal Sean Sargent; his parents-in-law, Paul and Dorothy Ketchmark; his brother Terry Patrick Sargent; and his sister-in-law Kathryn Sargent (Hoffman).
He is survived by: his wife Julia Ann Sargent (Ketchmark); his daughter Mary Kelly Westerfield (James Robert); his grandchildren, Paul Russell Westerfield and Elizabeth Carol Westerfield; his daughter-in-law Peggy Sargent (Neil Halliday); his siblings, Judy Sargent, James Sargent (George), Joseph Sargent (Jean), Richard Sargent, Karen Byrne and Ronald Sargent (Nancy); his brother-in-law Carl Ellis (Judy); his nieces and nephews, Dannie Austin, Travis Sargent, Naomi Boness, Tawnya Bragg (Geoff) and Megan Cartwright (Tyson); and his extended family, Agnes "Coy", Christine Herr, Judy Kishman and John Browning. He is also survived by his great nieces and nephews and even one new great-great niece.
A vigil service was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home (2222 Russell Ave, Cheyenne, WY 82001). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Cathedral of St. Mary On.
