He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Truman Allen and Mildred Elizabeth Allen; and his brothers, Bruce Allen of Georgia and Herbert Allen of North Carolina. He is survived by: his wife Madeline; his children, Mike (Joann), Kathy (Mike) and Kimberly (Bobby); his grandchildren, Mike, Lena, Joshua, Rachel, Tim, Bri, Colin, Reyna, Kyle, Lauren, Josiah, Taylor, Thatch, Aric, Maggie, Andrew, Amanda and Alyssa; and his great grandchildren, Faith, Blair Rose, Alivia, Marley, Gus, Millie and Alice.

“Jim & Annette Combs. We are very sorry for your loss and he will be missed from numerous friends and very much by his family. Mr.Larry and I had numerous conversations which were always interesting and a joy. A short while ago I was driving by the house and he was sitting on the porch, I waved and went a little further and stopped, went back and got out and sat down to visit. I was blessed to get the visit ! I will miss him ! Our prayers will be with the family !”
