We announce the death of Michael Jay Burton in Loveland, Colorado, who passed away on September 18, 2026, at the age of 79. Michael will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Burton and Bernice Burton (Overton). He is survived by: his wife Carol Burton (Hoyt); his siblings, Barbara Davis and Randall Burton (Kimberly); his children, Eric Burton (Amanda) and Loni Vander Kooi (Ken); his stepchildren, Brook Kramer (Kelly), Babette Ponder (Chris), Brady Palmer and Brocke Palmer (Andrea); his niece Kellie Rushton; his nephews, Rick Bonham (Jan) and Drew Burton; and his grandchildren, Zack Kramer, Annie, Jeffrey Burton, Kyle and Kayla Vander Kooi.
