He was also cherished by numerous great grandchildren.

“Ronald Hill was my uncle. He was a "man's man." To me he was always the picture of courage, character, honor, humor and love. His smile and his laughter were unique. Separated by fourteen years, Uncle Ron and Dad were close. I remember Dad talking to him on the phone and Dad always had a smile when they were finished. Dad spoke often of his younger brother with respect and love. After Dad passed in 1996 Uncle Ron was my connection to Dad. The world will be a darker place without him.”
