She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Newton and Gladys Maude Cornthwaite (Brown); her husband Max Brown; her sister Mary Alice; her brother-in-law Kenneth Gerhardt; her brother Tommy Cornthwaite; and her daughter-in-law Pam Brown.
She is survived by: her children, Timothy Brown (Johanna) of Mercedes, TX, Thomas Brown of Limon, CO and Alicia Matoba (Bob) of Las Vegas, NV; her grandchildren, Tyler Matoba (Kristen), Erica Barry (Dylan), Tanner Matoba (Amanda), Jonathan Brown (Brianna) and Alaina Vaughan (Zachary); and her great grandchildren, Ava Barry, Norah Matoba, Kyler Barry, Wyatt Barry and Ryland Vaughan. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
After contracting COVID in 2022, she lost her ability to speak but never lost her sweet spirit touching other lives.
