He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert D. Edwards and Sue G. Edwards; his brother Jimmy Edwards; and his grandchildren, River Smith and Blayze Vernon.
He is survived by: his wife Janice; his children, Kevin (Suzanne) of Mandeville, LA, Kyle (Amy) of Hendersonville, TN, Troy Vernon (Kerby) of Grover, CO, Taylor Smith of Maybell, CO and Trent Vernon (Bailey) of Maybell, CO; his grandchildren, Sam Edwards (Brooke), Sarah Joyce (Sam), Clair Lyle (Derek), Ryan Edwards (Katy), Adam Edwards, Will Edwards, Cory Edwards, Kylie Edwards, Rex Smith, Payson Vernon, Rowdy Smith, Oakley Vernon, McCoy Vernon and Laiklyn Vernon; his great grandchildren, Everly and Beckett Edwards; and his sisters, Dolly Skipper and Donna Casteel (Jim). He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
