He was predeceased by : his parents, Fernandez Martinez and Crotilde Martinez (Perea); his daughters, Lisa Martinez and Nancy Martinez; his siblings, John Martinez, Bonnie Martinez (Charlotte), Joe Martinez, Esther Jiron (Ernest) and Carol Martinez; and his brother-in-law Bobby Moran.

He is survived by : his wife Nickie Martinez of Monte Vista; his children, Yvette Archuleta (Arcocino Garcia) of Monte Vista, Anthony Martinez (Marilyn) of Longmont, Loreen Lobato (Adam) of Monte Vista, Roddy Martinez (Rhonda) of Center and Gearlene West of Longmont; and his siblings, Lonnie Martinez and Cordy Moran. He is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren, sixty-four great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
