Esther leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Esther’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Esther will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her husband Larrey Schroeder; and her parents, Frieda Gohr and Emil Gohr. She is survived by: her daughter Katherine Suttles (Erik) of Del Norte; her grandchildren, Cas and Rhea Silva; her daughter Ellen Mackey (Michael) of Littleton; and her sisters, Erna Hancock and Eva Hammond. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Homelake Veterans Center Chapel (3749 Sherman Ave, Monte Vista, CO 81144).
In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the Monte Vista Community Food Pantry.
