He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyman Gilks and Joyce Gilks (Hovey). He is survived by: his wife Cindy Burnett; his daughter Michelle; his son-in-law Brad; his granddaughter Sophie of California; his son Brian of Telluride; and his siblings, Gary Gilks (Karen Ann), Sharon Counsil (Noel) and Les Gilks. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
