He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Kaufmann and Lorine Kaufmann (Weerts); his sister Neva; and his brother-in-law Clinton Janssen. He is survived by: his wife Evelyn; his daughters, Kathryn Michel (Richard) and Kristin Brown (Greg); his stepchildren, Michael Mathias (Felicia), Beth Watterson (Doug) and David Mathias; and his nephew Samuel Janssen (Kimberly).
