Lisa Coyle Obituary

Lisa Coyle
January 1964 – November 7, 2023
Morrison
Lisa died at age 59 at her home in Morrison Colorado on November 7 of 2023 after a long, courageous health struggle due to a brain tumor.

Lisa was born in Wisconsin in January 1964 to Charles and Liza. She had 2 siblings, a brother Chris and a sister Gretchen.
She was well liked by many who met her, but her longest friendships were.
Amy Peterson (closest and dearest friend from Wisconsin)
(Neighbor friends on Green Mountain, Lakewood)
Deanna Polson, Rodney Singson, and others
Valerie Gordon (school friend, fellow nonconformist and rebel)
Many first cousins from both sides of her family.
Lisa moved to Colorado at the age of 10 in February of 1974. She always remembered this vividly due to the Valentines received that year.

Education after leaving Wisconsin:
Grade: Green Mountain Grade School, Middle: Dunstan Middle School
HS: Green Mountain High
Parks Jr. College (Medical Assistant), San Jose St.
Arizona State (BA English with Magna Cum Laude honors) 1990
Graduate Studies 1991 in Secondary Education to prepare for a teaching career
CU Masters in Library Science 2010

Career: She taught Junior High and High School in Gilbert Arizona and Evergreen Colorado. She worked in education in Jefferson county Colorado as a para professional at Kendallvue, Vivian, and Red Rocks Elem. schools. Lisa also worked in Jefferson County as a Librarian.

Lisa lived her adult life in Lakewood CO; Fremont CA, Scottsdale AZ, Gilbert AZ, and Morrison CO.
She was married in Nov of 1989 in Scottsdale Arizona to Brent Coyle and had 2 children.

Interests and Church:
She attended Church at Light of the World and Christ on the Mountain. She enjoyed volunteering as a Lector at Church.

She loved:
Family
Cross stitch
Literature (Shakespeare and other Classics, Jane Austen, Anne Rice, and anything about early Irish Folklore)
Green Bay football, indoor La Crosse (The Mammoth)
Costume creating and sewing for the kids for Halloween
She learned ASL as her verbal language skills were affected by her illness
Christmas cookie baking if she had help (thumbprints, Russian tea cakes, gingerbread, and sugar)

Personality:
She always considered herself the peacekeeper as the middle child in her family.
If you’re a middle child, you may remember the long ride in the station wagon sitting as a barrier between feuding siblings. A role she sometimes played for other family members as an adult.

She was stubborn when she felt strongly about an idea. There is probably a childhood picture of her with a cross-armed stubborn pose. She fondly retold a touch football story with other Green Mountain neighbor kids. Her stubborn solid blocking stance caused Kenn Rivers to take a muddy fall while chasing the quarterback.

Lisa was mostly known for how freely she gave her love and time to others and how she truly cared for others. She was friends with almost everyone who grew to know here. Even if she was not close friends, people always recognized her caring and loving nature.
Survived by family:
Brent Coyle (husband)
Logan Coyle (son)
Evan Coyle (son) and Sabrina (daughter in-law)
Parents: Charles and Liza
Brother Chris and (sister in-law) Elizabeth
Sister Gretchen and (brother in-law) Bruce and their children

Service will be a graveside funeral, Catholic Rite of Committal, with blessing and final prayer.
