She was predeceased by: her parents, Elizabeth Roney and James Roney; and her husband Milton Lee Cottrell. She is survived by: her brother Larry Roney; her children, Allen Cottrell (Joanna), Glenda Cottrell (Larry), William Cottrell (Brenda) and Michelle Kautz (Thomas); her foster daughter Betty Gould; her grandchildren, Amy Thoming (Jim), Katie Shobe (Justin), Christine Westmoreland (Matt), Jesse Cottrell (Jillian), Isabella Aurand (Tanner), Victoria Cottrell, Amber Brecheisen (Joey), Thomas Kautz, Andrew Kautz and Kristen Kautz; and her great grandchildren, Brayden Thoming, Aubrey Thoming, Phoenix Shobe, Elijah-Grey Shobe, Ryder Westmoreland, Kayden Westmoreland, Mason Westmoreland, Jacob Cottrell, Addyson Brecheisen, Madden Brecheisen and Onyx Brecheisen.

In later years she enjoyed knitting newborn baby hats with her church friends, donating them to Neonatal Intensive Care Units.
