He is survived by: his children, Jill Tapia (Harry Temple), Kim Tapia, Fred Tapia Jr., Louie Tapia and Erica Tapia of Northglenn, Colorado; his grandchildren, Fredrick Tapia (Luciana), Alexandra Smyth (Nick Smyth), Sophia Gutierrez, Gabriella Gutierrez and Robert Garcia; and his great grandchildren, Raymond Tapia, Jameson Smyth and Maeve Tapia. He is also survived by five siblings, several nieces and nephews and in-laws.
