He was predeceased by: his son T. J. Payer; his parents, Jerome Payer and Bernice Payer; his in-laws, Judy and Roger Reibsamen; his niece Sabrina Reibsamen; and his nephews, Patrick Reibsamen and Brian Eckhoff.
He is survived by: his wife Lynda Reibsamen of Norwood, Colorado; and his siblings, Connie Eckhoff (Jim) of Belmond and Richard Payer of Mason City. He is also survived by siblings; and numerous nieces and nephews.
