He was predeceased by: his parents, Salvador Mercado and Pearl Mercado. He is survived by: his siblings, Peggy Wilson (Ty) of Craig and David (Tammy) of Florence; and his nieces and nephews, Matthew Mercado (Amanda), Bryce Ponikvar, Justin Alvidrez (Jaime), Stacy Cown (Chad), Racine Arnold and Stephanie Alvidrez. He is also survived by numerous other aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Oak Creek Cemetery (25698 County Rd 50x, Oak Creek, CO 80467).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made in Steve's memory to the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #91 in care of Grant Mortuary.
