He was predeceased by: his parents, John Buford and Emily May Buford (Murphy); and his wife Wyncie Dell Buford (Mims). He is survived by: his sons, Phillip Buford (Mary Jean) of Ordway, CO, Jerry Bob Buford (Dianne) of Ordway, CO and Carl Dean Buford (Linda) of Pensacola, FL. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
