He was predeceased by: his parents, Benancio Gusman and Stella Gusman; his wife Nora Gusman; his son Ross Gusman Jr.; his siblings, Joe Gusman and Annie Jimenez; and his siblings-in-law, Magda Contreras, Elsa Davila (Ralph), Saul Nuncio and Jose Ojeda.
He is survived by: his children, Bob Gusman, Nora Pearl Best, Moses Gusman and Kathy Nail; his siblings, Nancy Ojeda, Martha Varela (Gonzalo), Amalia Johnson and Pete Gusman; and his siblings-in-law, Viola Cortez, Yolanda Nuncio, Elizabeth Conroy (Gene), Naomi Rivera (Dennis), Ezekiel Contreras, David Nuncio (Pat), Sam Nuncio (Reynalda) and Pepe Jimenez. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established in Ross's memory for later designation.
