He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Kotch and Neva Kotch; his stepfather Ted Kobayashi; his parents-in-law, Phillip Mollendor and Mary Mollendor; and his nephews, Brandon Mollendor and Tanner Mollendor.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Kotch of Ovid; his children, Troy Kotch of Ovid and Tricia Lockhart (Tim Segelke) of Ovid; his grandchildren, Haley Lockhart (Dillon), April Atkins (Jerome), Spencer Kotch and Dylan Kotch; and his great grandchildren, Grady Warren, Atlas, Aella, Kyleigh and Paige. He is also survived by many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and dear friends.
