He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Mathew Chomiak and Anna Violet Chomiak (Radena); his sister Gail Ann Kasper (Chomiak); his spouse Claire Alice Hansen; his sons, Scott, Craig and Todd; his daughters-in-law, Katie, Carrie and Jacque; and his granddaughters, Ella, Madeline, Lucy and Olivia.

In lieu of flowers, Alan had requested that donations be made in his name, to his son Craig's Walk MS team in Jersey City, NJ.
