He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesus Ruiz and Guadalupe Ruiz; his sisters, Gloria and Mary Ellen; his daughter-in-law Carrie; and his grandson Caleb.
He is survived by: his wife Wendy Ruiz; his son Larry Ruiz (Lisa); his grandchildren, Zachary, Evan, Jayme and Ty; his great grandchild Kathy Kathrein-Langdon (Sean); Adam, Kaylyn, Amy Buoniconti (Michael), Malayla, Ryan, Alexi and Jacob.
The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers or gifts, that donations be made directly to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (stjude.org) honoring Joe's wishes.
