He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard James Bruchs and Dwan Merilyn Stoeckmann; his stepparents, Deborah Bruchs and Ken Weiss; his mother-in-law Nancy Goodyear; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Beth Bruchs and Karen Goodyear.
He is survived by: his wife Amy Goodyear; his children, Austyn Jenkins (Ben) of Arvada, Bradley Bruchs (Julie) of Castle Rock and Madison Gibson (Adam) of Centennial; his siblings, Greg Bruchs of Dayton, Ohio, Pat Bruchs (Saundra) of Brookville, Ohio, Kelly Saatzer of St. Cloud, Minnesota, Kerry Backes (Paul) of Avon, Minnesota and Cori Foos (Tony) of Fremont, Ohio; his father-in-law Tom Goodyear of Denver; his brothers-in-law, Paul Goodyear of Centennial and Drew Goodyear (Sara) of Castle Rock; and his pets, Kaley and Piper. He is also survived by his nine grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Wellspring Church (3885 S Broadway, Englewood, CO 80113).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Joe's Home in Cincinnati, Ohio host.nxt.blackbaud.com/donor-form (https://host.nxt.blackbaud.com), which has been the home of his beloved nephew, John Patrick Bruchs, for the past 36 years.
