Josephine Downer Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 2, 2025, at the age of 87, Josephine Downer of Penrose, Colorado passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Sporcich and Ellen Sporcich (Ketcham); her husband Sheldon Downer; and her sister Shirley Mae. She is survived by: her children, Shanda Telck (Tony), Kelly Corsentino (Randy Sandoval) and Weldon Downer (Deanna); her grandchildren, David Telck (Tami), Calhan Telck (Kari), Cydnee Pletcher (Kevin Goodwin), Raegan Grant (JR), Nathan Corsentino (Jamie), Scott Sandoval, Victoria Atakpo (Brian) and McKenna Lepre (Marshall); and her brothers, Kenneth Sporcich (Sharon), John "Nick" Sporcich and Jerry Sporcich. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 24th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Pathfinder Park (6655 CO-115, Florence, CO 81226).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marie's name to Fremont Regional Hospice, 1439 Main St. Canon City, CO 81212.
