He is survived by: his brother Dale Johnson of Sharon Springs, KS; and his sibling's children, Tom (Valerie Johnson) of Oakley, KS, Jan Johnson of Hays, KS, Ben (Stephanie Johnson) of Sharon Springs, KS, Kris (Lisa Johnson) of Colorado Springs, CO and Kori (Aaron Walker) of Pratt, KS..

Visitation was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Garnand Funeral Home (412 N 7th St, Garden City, KS 67846). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Church of the Brethren (505 N 8th St, Garden City, KS 67846). A burial was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the McClave Cemetery.

The family suggests memorials given to the Garden City Church of the Brethren in care of the funeral home.
