He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Basquez and Laura Gomez (Cresencio); his siblings, Ben Basquez Jr., Bernadette Martinez (Joe) and Joann Martinez (Frank); his in-laws, Simon and Fanny Lira; and his brother-in-law George Lira.
He is survived by: his wife Laura Lee Basquez; his children, Catrina Vigil and Ciara Garcia (Mike); his grandchildren, Chynah Vigil, Wembleigh Resendez and Parker Resendez; his siblings, Loubea Conchola (Al), Nancy Maes (Eusebio), Judy Maes (Monico), Gloria Sais (Lawrence) and Laura; his godchildren, Jordan Lira and Ray Ray Bustamante; and his in-laws, Leslie Vasquez (Manny), Matt Lira and Stephen Lira.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Romero Family Funeral Home (110 Cleveland St, Pueblo, CO 81004). A burial will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Roselawn Cemetery (1706 Roselawn Rd, Pueblo, CO 81006-1614).
