He was predeceased by: his wife Lillian; his parents-in-law, Guadalupe and Cora Montez; his siblings, Nick (Rosemary), Facundo (Carmen), Loren Chavez (Cecilia) and Flora Quintana (Bob); and his sister-in-law Jeannette Montez-Dasler.
He is survived by: his children, Annette Maes (Joel), Paula Krohn (Brian), Derek Chavez (Lynnette), Timothy Chavez and Darlene Baca; his grandchildren, Zack (Chelsea), Justin, Amryn (Geno), Ayden, Alexis, Dylan, Tristen (Izzy), Ashtyn, Teagan, Demery and Monique; his great grandchildren, Keylee, Oliver, Ambriah, Payslee, Baby Geno, Masen, Maximus and Carter; and his brothers, Sonny (Diana), Guadalupe (Sue), Wayne and Dwayne. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, & relatives.
