He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonio Abbate and Carmella Abbate; his wife Christina; his siblings, Warren, Cynthia Icabone and Dolly Holland; his mother-in-law Clarabell Kasimatis; and his siblings-in-law, Florence Abbate, Joyce Kasimatis, Helen Humphreys, John Kasimatis and Anthony Icabone.
He is survived by: his children, Charles Mitchell Abbate and Teri Lynn Abbate; and his grandchildren, Michael Austin Abbate, Nicklaus Anthony Abbate, Charles Montgomery Abbate and Arwen Mae Abbate. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Shrine of St. Therese (300 Goodnight Ave, Pueblo, CO 81004).
A cancer survivor twice, the family respectfully asks that and donations in his name be made to the American Cancer Society in lieu of food and/or flowers.
