He is survived by: his wife Wendy; his children, Teryl Thornton, Sheryl Lombardi, Niki Avery (Mark) and Daniel Thornton; his grandchildren, Brandon Thornton, Ryan May, Jack May, Kendall Avery and Robby Avery; and his siblings, Betsy Ward (Doug) and Hank Morton (Sherry). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
