He was predeceased by: his mother Pearl Pottorff McBee; and his siblings, Kenny McBee and Bobbi McBee Bauer. He is survived by: his wife Darlene McBee of Pueblo, CO.; his children, Robert McBee (Jennifer) of Pueblo, CO and Christy McBee (Robert Alejo) of Alamosa, CO; his grandsons, Shane Weber (Emily Andrews) of Las Vegas, NV and Tysen Weber (Alexandra Cover) of Schenectady, NY; and his brother Donald McBee (Alta) of Lamar, CO.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers, Gale supported the "Tunnels to Towers" Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306.
