She was predeceased by: her husband Jose E. Gonzales; her parents, Apolonio Chavez and Lucy Chavez; and her brother Robert Chavez. She is survived by: her sons, Edward Gonzales (Amy) and Michael Gonzales (Julie); her grandchildren, Georgia Gove (Tucker), Christine Gonzales Shifflet (Mark), Sarah Baca (Justin), Maya Crump (Cody) and Sammy Earp; her brother Apolonio Chavez Jr.; her nieces, Evelyn Mondragon (Dennis) and Lori Estrada; and her close friends, Jeanette Grant (Zane), Rose, Larry Hicks and Georgia Capra. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Parish (1145 S Aspen Rd, Pueblo, CO 81006).
