He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Batts and Gladys Batts; his granddaughter Amanda Batts; and his siblings, Marie Davis, Cora Shaw, Dolores Stout and Thomas Batts.

He is survived by: his wife Sandra Batts; his children, Charlene Cortez, Stephen Batts (Gayle Deanie) and Michael Batts (Leslie); his grandchildren, Robbie Cortez (Amber), Jerry Michael Cortez (Sara), Charla Greenlee (Carson), Joshua Batts, Lauren Batts, Seth Batts, Brandice Bunting (William) and James Batts; his great grandchildren, Nick Acuna (Kristen), Faith Cortez, Audrey Greenlee, Elliott Greenlee, Victoria Batts, Viviana Batts, Joshua Batts, Justice Shrewsbury, Skyler Shrewsbury and Alexander Bunting; his great great grandchild Kai Acuna; and his sister Glenda Day (Bill). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family.
