He was predeceased by: his parents, Delores Tafoya and Joe Vallejo; his grandparents, Genevieve and Lino Maez; his siblings, Irene, Delores and Steve; and his brother-in-law Jimmy Padilla.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Maez; his children, Henry Maez (Stefanie), Roddy Maez (Sylvia), Alicia and Leon Maez (Luanne); his brother Manuel Tafoya; and his brother-in-law Gene "Champ" Padilla. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
