He was predeceased by: his parents, Rosa Lee Taylor-Hicks and Arthur William Hicks; and his brother Arthur "Artie" W. Hicks, Jr.. He is survived by: his significant other Loretta Briggs-Hicks; his sister Nancy Spann of Pueblo; and his aunt Elgie Powell of New York. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
