He was predeceased by: his parents, Opal Pumphrey and Paul A. Pumphrey; his brother William C. "Bill" Pumphrey; his former wife Marie Caldwell Pumphrey; and his son William R. "Billy" Pumphrey.
He is survived by: his wife Karla Hassloch Pumphrey; and his children, Jaelee Jones (Robert), Dr. Robert Pumphrey, John Pumphrey (Sue Ann), Clint Pumphrey (Lori) and Kristin Pumphrey. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson.
