He was predeceased by: his parents, Rose Velasquez and Ramon Velasquez; his siblings, Marianne Gutierrez (Fred), Jane Ann Bueno (Frank), Rose Madrid (Tommy), Margaret Bueno (Jess), Albert (Dolores), Anthony (Jenny Mae), Alfonso (Gail), Gene (Ella Mae), Joseph (Valerie) and Victor Velasquez (Willa Beth); and his grandson T. J. Medina.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Velasquez; his children, JoAnne Medina (Ted), James Velasquez (Shirley), Vince Velasquez (Shelly) and Greg Velasquez (Diane); his grandchildren, Clint Velasquez (Tiffany), Erin Medina-Burns (Carmara), Victoria Velasquez and Brianna Velasquez; his great grandchildren, Rynlee Velasquez and Josias Burns; and his sisters, Rebecca Woodall (Woody) and Shirley Frazier (Billy).
