He is survived by: his children, LaRae (Andrew), Janell and James (Melissa); his mother Martha; his siblings, Stella Medina (Richard), Phil Barela (Julie), Eddie Barela (Anita), Steve Barela and Pat Gomez (Donovan); his grandchildren, Jalexa, Audriana, DeShawn and Xzavier; and his close friend Mona.
