He is survived by: his wife Suzanne Richey; his sons, Jason Krinsky (Pam) and Alex Krinsky; his grandchildren, Julianna, Samantha, Aaron and Nolan; his brothers, Norton Krinsky (Jeanne) and Steven Krinsky; and his caregivers, Dr. Breelyn Wilkey of University and Dr. Michelle Kowalis.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Richard's memory to support cancer research at CU Anschutz Medical Research.
