She was predeceased by: her parents, John Lash and Ann Lash; and her husband Richard Markus. She is survived by: her children, John Markus and Alesha Reed (Benjamin); her grandsons, William and Michael Reed; and her brother Tom Lash (Betsy Breckinridge). She is also survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews, and good friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church.
