He was predeceased by: his father Harold Lee Carter; and his stepfather Lester Cacciatore. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Carter; his mother Jeanne Cacciatore; his sisters, Catherine Ann Leyva (Phil) and Kathy MacDonald (Joel); and his children, Neal Carter (Sarah), Dolores Reuland (Mike) and Darryl Nelson (Christine). He is also survived by seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
